· BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd. and BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. expanded the recall of some domestic and imported BMW cars

Recently, BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd. and BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the AQSIQ according to the requirements of the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall and the Implementation Measures for the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recalls. Since June 11, 2018, the following vehicles have been recalled, a total of 44,052 vehicles.

(1) BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd. recalled some domestically produced Brilliance BMW 316i, 320i, 320Li, 328i, 328Li, 335Li and X1 vehicles from February 13, 2012 to December 28, 2013, totaling 6,989 vehicles.

(2) BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. recalls some imported BMW 120i, 220i, 320i, 328i, 335i, 428i, 435i, 528i, 535i, 640i produced between August 4, 2012 and December 30, 2013. , X1, X5, X6, M235i, M3, M5 and M6 cars, a total of 37,063 vehicles.

Part of the airbags of the vehicle within this recall range is equipped with an ammonium nitrate gas generator without a desiccant produced by Takada. When the airbag is deployed, the gas generator may be abnormally damaged, causing debris to fly out and injuring the inside of the vehicle, posing a safety hazard. BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd. and BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will replace the airbag gas generators of the vehicles involved in the recall for free to eliminate safety hazards. (Note: For X5 and X6 vehicles, the front airbags for the driver and front passengers are involved; for other vehicle types, the driver's front airbag is involved.)

BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd. and BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will notify the relevant owners by registered mail.
