On December 27th, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the four ministries of the National Development and Reform Commission commissioned a two-and-a-half-year inspection and promotion of national energy conservation and new energy vehicle demonstrations in Guangzhou. The Guangzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission will represent the development of new energy vehicles in Guangzhou. The work leading group made an overall report on the pilot work to the acceptance team. After on-site inspection and acceptance review, the pilot work in Guangzhou City passed the acceptance.

From 2010 to 2012, under the coordinated guidance of the New Energy Automobile Development Working Leading Group and the joint efforts of various departments and enterprises, Guangzhou City has demonstrated and promoted various types of energy-saving and new technologies in the four major areas of public transportation, environmental sanitation and postal services. The number of energy vehicles reached 2,771, which exceeded the 2,050 demonstration and promotion pilot tasks requested by the national ministries and commissions. At the same time, through the active implementation of pilot projects, a new energy vehicle, power battery and its management system, electronic control system, and electric power have been formed. A complete industrial chain including air-conditioning, etc., models cover all types of cars, passenger cars, special vehicles, etc., the annual production capacity of new energy buses reaches 3,000, the annual production capacity of new energy cars is about 30,000, and there are two independent brands of new energy cars. platform.

The acceptance team fully affirmed the pilot work in Guangzhou, and believed that Guangzhou has established a relatively complete mechanism for promoting the development of new energy vehicles through conducting pilot work, and has effectively carried out the planning and construction of industrial bases, industrial chains, and supporting facilities.
