A site gas pipeline near Xihua Road in Nanchong City, Sichuan Province was excavated due to road construction. The gas column that injected gas upwards was nearly 10 meters high and it issued a “squeaky” sound, and a gas station was 10 meters away. Extremely nervous. On the evening of the 18th, the officers and men of the special fire squadron received an alarm rushed to the scene to implement the rescue.

At 20:35 in the evening, more than 20 officers and soldiers of the secret service fire squadron of Nanchong City rushed to the scene. After investigation, it was discovered that a white mist emerged from the broken pipeline. There were many shops along the road and people were intensive. Even an ignition star may have accidents. After accurately grasping the scene, field commanders Yang Lexiu and Zhang Jinglin immediately organized officers and soldiers to guard the site, evacuate the people, prevent all ignition sources from entering the leakage area, and ordered the crew to spray a spray gun. Diluting the injected natural gas, it also promptly contacted the technicians of the natural gas company and asked to rush to the scene to repair.

Before the technicians arrived, the fire officers and soldiers continued to dilute the water while testing with combustible gas detectors and toxic gas detectors.

At 20:50 pm, technicians of the natural gas company arrived at the scene. Under the close cooperation of the fire officers and soldiers, the valves of the nearby transmission pipelines were completely closed, and the danger on the spot was eliminated.

According to the introduction of a shop owner near the site, at around 20:20 in the evening, a construction unit accidentally buried the underlying natural gas pipeline during the construction of the 40-meter-wide street, causing a large amount of natural gas to leak.
