This indicates that the overall technology of CNPC pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation catalyst has reached the international advanced level, and has the strength to compete with similar foreign catalysts.
The outstanding performance of the LY-9802 gasoline hydrogenation catalyst was not only recognized by Fujian United Petrochemical Company, but also praised by domestic counterparts as a “competitive agent” for independent innovation. Up to now, the catalyst has been in operation for more than 180 days. The inlet temperature of the pyrolysis gasoline two-stage hydrogenation reactor is still kept at 223°C, which is 20°C lower than that of the imported catalysts of the same type, and the energy consumption of the equipment is greatly reduced. The ability of the catalyst to remove impurities is strong, and the quality of the hydrogenation product is stable, which proves that the catalyst has excellent hydrogenation activity and stability.
Pyrolysis gasoline is an important cracking product of ethylene cracking equipment, accounting for about 50% to 80% of ethylene production. Among them, the effect of secondary hydrogenation directly affects the yield of aromatics and the normal production of downstream devices. Fujian UPC, which uses this autonomous catalyst, is a modern petrochemical company built by Sinopec and ExxonMobil and Saudi Aramco. It has 800,000 tons of ethylene per year. Its supporting gasoline hydrogenation capacity is 500,000 tons/year. Among the ethylene projects that have been completed and put into operation in China, its single production scale ranks in the front row.
It is understood that in September 2008, this catalyst participated in the bidding meeting for the hydrogenation catalyst for gasoline held by China United Petrochemical. After fierce competition, it defeated the world-famous catalyst supplier and won the bid for the joint petrochemical project of Fujian, which opened the prelude to the first-time use of domestic pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation catalysts in Sino-foreign joint ventures to build new large-scale ethylene plants. Under the guidance of researchers from the China Petroleum and Petrochemical Research Institute, in September 2009, Fujian United Petrol was able to achieve a successful oil drive. The strong technical service capability of China Petroleum and Petrochemical Research Institute and the excellent adaptability of catalyst products have been highly evaluated by Fujian United Petrochemical.
It is also known that the China Petroleum and Petrochemical Research Institute is the earliest scientific research institution in China engaged in the research, development, and production of pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation catalysts. After arduous technical breakthroughs, researchers have creatively developed a complete set of core technologies with independent intellectual property rights, formed a unique set of technologies and serialized products unique to China's oil, and the technology covers the entire hydrogenation from carbon 2 to carbon 9 field.
