Smart Power Meters Develop Steadily

With the increase of industrial production and people's lives, smart power meters have recently released the “2014-2018 China Smart Power Meter Market Research and Forecast Analysis Report” showing that in recent years, China's smart power meters have developed rapidly. In 2012, China's sales of smart power meters exceeded 4 million units, and the average annual compound growth rate reached 29.62% in the past three years. It is expected that after 2016, the market growth rate of China's smart power metering industry will further increase to more than 40%.

According to the development plan of the State Grid Corporation of China, the development of the smart grid in China will go through three stages of development, namely, technology research and development and standard development, comprehensive construction and improvement. At present, the development of China's smart grid has entered a phase of comprehensive construction, which has created a huge market demand for smart meters. From 2016 to 2020, it will be the leading and upgrading stage for the development of smart grids. A unified “strong and smart grid” will be built in a comprehensive manner, and the technology and equipment will fully reach the international advanced level. Therefore, industry professionals expect that after 2016, with the construction of smart user terminals and the upgrading of smart power meters, China's smart power meter industry will significantly accelerate the pace of development.
