Not long ago, Indian domestic industry filed an application with the Indian investigation authority to request countervailing investigations on the truck tires imported from China.
According to the information provided in the application, the applicant for India's anti-subsidy investigation was the Indian Automobile Tyre Manufacturers Association (AUTOMOTIVE TYRE MANUFACTURE'S ASSOCIATION), and the Indian domestic companies Apollo Tyres Ltd., Ceat Ltd., JK Tyre Industries Ltd. and MRF Ltd. provided data.
The product to be investigated is the new inflatable passenger car tires, including radial tires and biased tires, whether or not there are inner tubes and cushions. The Indian tax code is 4011.20.

The applicant's anti-subsidy investigation time is from October 1, 2016 to September 30, 2017. The applicant did not list the exact amount of the subsidy, but he believed that the price cuts suffered during the investigation period ranged from 5% to 15%. According to China's customs statistics, during the subsidy investigation period, the export volume of China's truck and bus tires to India was 60,386.88 tons, and the export amount was US$124.499 million.
The applicant's alleged anti-subsidy program involved 72 items in 6 categories. The number of Chinese producers and exporters alleged by the applicants totaled 29, eliminating 3 duplicates, actually 26, including 23 manufacturing companies and 3 trading companies.
It is understood that the investigative authorities in India have not formally initiated the case. At present, China Rubber Industry Association is actively carrying out trade trade friction warnings, and jointly organizes responding work with the China Minmetals Chemicals Import & Export Chamber of Commerce. It informs the involved companies of the case and discusses countermeasures based on the progress of the case.
