Properties: pale yellow irritating odor of a powder or granules, soluble in water and alcohol, can form insoluble compounds with various metal ions.
Main use: Butyl sodium xanthate is a flotation agent with strong harvesting ability. It is widely used in the mixed flotation of various non-ferrous metal sulfide ore. The product is particularly suitable for brass ore flotation sphalerite, pyrite and the like. Under certain conditions, it can be used to preferentially float copper sulfide ore from iron sulfide ore, or to capture sphalerite activated by copper sulfate.
