A 120/h (Yellow River only) cutter suction dredger designed by the Changjiang Ship Design Institute for the China National Water Resources Investment Corporation's “Shipiao Construction Project (Phase I)” (ship name “Jianghe 033”, label CWI-SJ— 99-SN-06 was designed and constructed to meet the needs of the Yellow River. The ship is mainly used for dredging and dredging in the main channel of the lower reaches of the Yellow River (Henan and Shandong sections), increasing the flood discharge area of ​​the main channel, and using the large amount of excavated sediment to infiltrate, obtrude, and deposit silt on the Yellow River embankments. Beaches, shoddy channels, etc. are reinforced.

The ship has creatively adopted a dual-reduction ratio mud pump gearbox according to the large variation in the horizontal width of the channel in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River. It successfully solved the problem that the long-term operation of the cutter suction dredger cannot adapt well to short This technical problem of row spacing construction effectively expands the scope of mud pump work and improves dredging productivity.

With a high degree of automation, the diesel engine mud pump device, reamer device, positioning system winch device control and main parameters of the monitoring and alarm can be concentrated in the control room.

The "033" test ship was successfully delivered on February 26, 2001. The real ship passed the mooring test, the shipyard dredging test, and the Yellow River site dredging test and the construction assessment for nearly one year. From April 3-4, 2002, the experts of the 100-member ship management office of China Water Resources Investment Company revised and fixed the ship. The design was reviewed. Experts agreed that the test ship embodies the applicability, reliability, and economy of dredging of the Yellow River. The design was successful. It met the actual requirements for river dredging in the Yellow River and achieved the goals of energy conservation, high efficiency, and ease of use. It is an ideal basic ship type for dredging of the Yellow River. Experts conducted a rigorous review of the main drawings and technical documents of the “revision of technical design” submitted by the hospital, conducted in-depth discussions on various opinions, and concentrated on the basis of the opinions of each representative. At the same time, it was agreed that the design quality has been significantly improved compared to the "033" test ship, which has met the requirements of the design mission statement and amendment opinions, and is more suitable for the particularity of the dredging of the Yellow River.

At present, the design team personnel are carefully reviewing the opinions of the expert group, perfecting the design day by day, and laying the foundation for the follow-up ship delivery within the year.
