Railway coal transportation is expected to reach 2.27 billion tons this year

The Ministry of Railways recently stated that the railway is the dominant mode of coal transportation in China. It is estimated that 2.27 billion tons of coal will be transported by railways this year, accounting for about 60% of the total coal output.

According to statistics, from January to October, the national railway transported 1.88 billion tons of coal, an increase of 220 million tons, an increase of 13.4%, and an increase of 5.3 percentage points over the national railway traffic.

The Ministry of Railways stated that in order to ensure the protection of coal transportation, the railway department will work hard to ensure that the key coal contracts are honored and that the key power plants will use coal. For the two lakes and rivers that are tight for coal supply and Sichuan, Chongqing, and other regions, the organization of electric coal loading vehicles has been increased. During difficult times, many organizations have organized assaults and rush operations to ensure the need for electric coal in these areas.
