USB 3.1 Interface Schematic Exposure Type-C Interface

Last year, the USB User Forum announced the next-generation USB 3.1 interface standard specification, but USB 3.1 real data lines and interface designs have not yet been determined. Recently, the USB Applicators Forum first exposed a schematic diagram at the Intel Developer Conference and stated that the new specification of the interface will be completed in July this year.

Exposure of the USB 3.1 data cable with dual interface design, including a blue cable, using Type-A, Type-B interface design; another new black USB cable named USB Type-C, using dual Type-C interface design.
The standard Type-A is the most widely used interface method, and the Micro-B is mainly applied to devices such as smart phones and tablet computers. The new Type-C interface is aimed at thinner, slimmer devices that increase usability and paves the way for future USB-based performance enhancements, such as the Thunderbolt interface for Apple devices. The Type-C interface size is 8.3x2.5mm, which is smaller than the current PC's USB interface, but larger than the 6.85x1.8mm Micro-B interface used in many cell phones. Type-C does not distinguish between the front and back, the interface can be automatically identified, supports 10,000 plug. However, at present, Type-C interfaces and data lines are not compatible with any of the existing types, and the official will additionally design switching equipment to be compatible with existing equipment.
In addition, the USB 3.1 data line doubles the transmission bandwidth from 5 Gbps to 10 Gbps, reducing the bandwidth loss from 20% to about 3%, improving utilization.
